AS THE TEAMS START PARTICIPATING IN NAFA TOURNAMENTS IN 2009, THEIR EARNED POINTS TO NATIONALS WILL BE POSTED ON THIS PAGE.
AT-LARGE POINT SYSTEM FOR Region 4 again will have the Point System that will give the teams that participate in Region 4 NAFA tournaments in 2009, a greater opportunity to advance to a national tournament; it is our way to show our appreciation for your continued participation. These berths will be in addition to direct berths being awarded at Region 4 National Qualifiers. Region 4 teams only, will be eligible for these at-large berths. Teams from outside Region 4 will only be eligible for the direct berths awarded at these qualifiers. Teams from outside Region 4 may request an at-large berth from their respective Regional Director. These berths will be At-Large berths, and will be awarded as follows: Ø Three points each non-qualifying NAFA tournament a team participates in. Ø Three points each NAFA National Qualifying tournament a team participates in. Ø Four points for participation in Region 4 NAFA Memorial Day tournaments. Ø Five points for participation in Region 4 State Tournament. Points are awarded to teams regardless of age division, or classification they participated in. A team that has acquired 12 points MAY BE considered for an at-large bid. A team that has acquired 17 points WILL BE awarded an automatic berth. Revised 4/17/09 |

Once a
team qualifies, they have 14 days from the time the
Regional Director notifies
them, to get their entry form and fee into the national site. After 14 days your
berth could be awarded to another team, no exceptions.
