DAILY NEWS UPDATE ON THE NAFA:
11/14/07 - NAFA will be going to a 43'
pitching distance in the 18A starting in 2008.
New line up for 2008 will:
10A - 35'
12A - 40'
14A - 40'
16A - 40'
18A - 43' (pitching)
18A-Elite - (43' (pitching)
The "B", (and soon to be added "C") will be
the same as above, except there will be no "Elite" division in the "B".
The 10 & Under will follow the same rules as
before as far as the base stealing, etc is concerned. We will be having a 10 &
Under tournament, and follow the same rules as the upper age groups, to see what
teams think about a change. Most of us feel that the 10's are still very much in
the developing stages of fastpitch at that age.
2008 NAFA National sites are listed above
"2008 NAFA Natls".
11/13/07 - 2008 NAFA
Rules changes will be posted this week.
2008 Nationals will also be posted this week. So keep checking back.
With NAFA changes coming, a lot of great
things will happen to insure the
teams of affordable tournaments, with some of the revenue staying within
the organizations to help build and improve.
NAFA Region 4 is also building an email
newsletter, to be sent periodically to all
new teams, and teams registered in 2007. This newsletter will include the
"why's"
of the move to NAFA.

11/7/07
- Umpires
will continue as is, same rules, same apparel. New apparel will be
available soon, same colors, and style.
Rule book
is in it's final stages, with very little change.
The 18-40
is finally out of Texas, and coming up this way. Will be finalizing
location, and will announce soon.
2008
Memberships are now on line, so click above and get started. Teams
that have already joined on-line before the change, will receive
their 2008 NAFA number next week, and rule book will be sent as soon
as they are received.
Any
questions, please email me.
